Disney for Adults – Which Disney Park is Best for Adults

While it is known that Disney is a magical destination for children, many adults love these thrilling destinations as well.  However, that love always leads to the question, “Which Disney park is best for adults?”.  While some adults may love one park over all the others, a few may prefer a different park due to the attractions, the entertainment, and their personal interests.

Sometimes, a favorite Disney park for adults is chosen due to its location, even if it isn’t a true adult favorite.

Best Disney Parks for Adults

EPCOT is filled with cultures from all over the world and that is something that many adults love!  While there may not be as many rides at this park, most adults love the immersive experience that they have during their visit.  The best thing about this park is that there are so many different food and drink choices. All eleven nations serve foods from those countries and the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, held during the fall, offers options from more than thirty different marketplaces.

2. Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios is big on entertainment, so this is the entertainment place of choice for many adults.  Everyone can participate in American Idol Live or watch the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular.  There’s also Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, Citizens of Hollywood, the Wonderful World of Animation, and of course, Fantasmic!   Don’t forget that this theme park is also the home to the new Star Wars land. If you are a Star Wars fan, this park will now skyrocket to the top of your list!

3. Animal Kingdom

What adult doesn’t love animals?  Seriously though, this park is the best Disney park for adults.  You should imagine taking a safari ride though the African savannah or taking a thrilling ride on Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.  The best places to eat at Animal Kingdom include the Rainforest Café, the Flame Tree Barbecue, and the Yak and Yeti Restaurant.

4. California Adventure Park

This theme park has the Cove Bar, which serves some amazing signature cocktails plus beer and wine.  This is one of the only places within any of the Disney theme parks where you can get alcohol, so that right there might take this destination to the top of the best Disney parks for adults list.

Best Disney Resort for Adults

Now that you know which Disney parks are the best for adults, it is time to focus on the best Disney resorts for adults.

1. Disneyland

Out in California, you will want to extend your adult-only Disney vacation as soon as you see how marvelous the Grand Californian is.  This hotel was just completely renovated, and every room is large and luxurious.  The rooms also offer all the comforts of home with large televisions, Keurig coffeemakers, tons of outlets, and even USB chargers.

The best thing about the Grand Californian is the Mandara Spa.  This spa is considered full-service and you can get everything from a massage and skin treatments to a manicure and pedicure there.  I highly recommend having a few different treatments during your stay, so you can try them all and eventually pick a favorite.

2. Disney World

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa offers the ultimate in luxury and elegance, which shouldn’t be a surprise since it is their flagship resort.  An orchestra plays in the lobby, while the on-site spa will have your worries melting away during any of their numerous treatments.

There are plenty of options when it comes to dining at the Grand Floridian as well, but you simply must have a meal at Victoria and Albert’s.  It is the best restaurant in Disney World for adults and it is an experience that you will not soon forget!

If you have never been to Disney without your kids, or know someone who has never been, you should give this type of vacation a try.  You may even realize that this is an excellent Disney World birthday idea for adults, as they can truly experience being a kid again!
