50. To Sua Ocean Trench, Samoa

Thousands of visors flock to Samoa every year to view this apparent “Hole in the ground,” many for a good reason too. The first of which is that it is possibly one of the unique places to swim in the entire world. This 30-meter pool sits in a lava field near the fabulous coastline of Samoa’s main island, Upolo. The only access point into the sparkling green waters is via a single ladder at its base. If you do visit the lake, be careful to watch out for signs, or you may end up with a very swift entrance into the beautiful sparkling waters below. If you are looking for the most popular places in the world, or unbelievable places on earth, this otherworldly place should make your list.
