Here are our 20 favorite things to do in Las Vegas with kids:

1. M&M World

M&M World - Las Vegas with Kids

This was the very first M&M World store, and with four stories, you know that you and your kids are going to find something that you love!  We recommend starting at the top and working your way down, as you will be going against the main crowds.  The kids will love having their picture taken with the replica of Kyle Busch’s #18 M&Ms race car before personalizing their own M&Ms with any of the fourteen Las Vegas image options.

2. Fall of Atlantis Show

Fall of Atlantis Show - Las Vegas with Kids

This animatronic show inside Caesars’ Palace will have your children standing in awe, as nine foot talking statues perform amongst water and fire.  The show tells the story of the Kingdom of Atlantis and how the King needs to decide on who will rule the throne after him.  We recommend arriving early for this performance, which begins at eleven in the morning and continues every hour on the hour because the area gets a little crowded.  While you are waiting for the show to begin, your entire family can check out the nearby fifty-thousand-gallon aquarium that has three hundred saltwater fish swimming inside. And of course, this show might inspire you to visit Atlantis in the Bahamas or any one of the other best waterparks in the world.

3. Circus Circus Hotel

Circus Circus Hotel - Las Vegas with Kids

The Circus Circus Hotel may be on the older end of The Strip, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have plenty of things for your family to do.  You can start in the upstairs part of the casino, where the entire floor is set up to portray a circus.  Center stage is in the middle, and this is where your family can watch the free circus acts that begin at half-past eleven every morning.  In between acts, your kids will love playing the carnival games on the midway and don’t be surprised if they win plenty of prizes to return home with!  When you are all “circused” out, you can venture out to the Adventure dome to tackle some of the best rides in Vegas.  Your family can scream their lungs out on the Canyon Blaster before practicing their driving skills on the Canyon Cars.  If you have younger kids, you may prefer to ride the Drifters and the Circus Carousel instead.

4. Fountains at The Bellagio

Fountains at The Bellagio - Las Vegas with Kids

The fountains in front of The Bellagio dance to music, much to the delight of kids and adults!  This breathtaking performance takes place every half hour during the day, but that changes to every fifteen minutes at night when the lights are added.  You and your kids can stand anywhere near the fountain mesmerized as the water dances to the beat of the music!  The songs are always different throughout the day, so no matter how many times you pass by, you will have a completely different experience.

5. Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat

Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat

Animal lovers have so much fun at this little garden and miniature aquarium!  We recommend starting back in the garden area, which is full of leopards, white tigers, and magnificent white lions.  Your kids will wander from one exhibit to the next as they watch the animals play, eat, lounge around, or take a nap.  Afterward, it is time to head over the dolphin pool, where the dolphins will be playing and going through training sessions with the employees.  If your children are at least eight years old, we recommend you all participate in the Painting with the Dolphins Experience.  During that time, you can interact with a dolphin or two, have your photo taken with them, and leave with a beautiful art canvas as a keepsake.

6. Shark Reef Aquarium

Shark Reef Aquarium - Las Vegas with Kids

This aquarium can be found at Mandalay Bay, and inside, it is filled with more than two thousand marine animals.  Your children will love wandering around looking at the sea turtles, giant rays, and piranhas, but their favorite part will be walking through the glass tunnel as the sharks swim all around them.  Before you leave the aquarium, you may want to take the time to do one of the animal feedings that are offered.

7. Mandalay Bay Beach and Pool for Non-Hotel Guests

While you are at Mandalay Bay for the aquarium, you may want to make a day out of it by spending some time at this resort’s beach and pool.  Non-guests can enter for a fee and enjoy the entire day sitting on more than twenty-five hundred tons of real sand, swimming in the pools, and floating down the lazy river.  Since you are traveling with kids, you may want to rent one of the cabanas or bungalows for the day, as it will make it easier for those who need some shade or a little nap.  Plus, it is the perfect place to enjoy a few snacks and a drink or two!

8. Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Interactive Exhibit

Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Interactive Exhibit

One of the best kids’ activities in Las Vegas is the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Interactive Exhibit, especially if you have kids that love anything Marvel related!  You will begin by creating case files on multiple Marvel characters, including the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America.  Once you are finished, you will find out whether you have obtained your goal of becoming a qualified member of this esteemed station.  We bet your kids are going to win this one!

9. Discovery Children’s Museum

Discovery Children’s Museum

Young kids will love all the fun and adventures that can be found at the Discovery Children’s Museum in Las Vegas!  They can investigate with Sid the Science Kid, climb up or slide down the Summit, dress up like a member of the royal family at the medieval castle, solve the mystery within Mystery Town and much more.  This museum can fill an entire day with fun activities, so you may want to schedule a visit on a day when you do not have anything else planned.

10. Gondola Rides

You do not need to travel to faraway destinations to take a phenomenal gondola ride through the canals.  Everyone from the youngest to the oldest will be thrilled to sit back, relax, watch the sights of Venice pass them by, and listen to the gondolier sing as they float along the canal at the Venetian.

Chocolate loving families can rejoice in the fact that there are numerous places to satisfy their sweet tooth in Las Vegas.  The Hershey’s Chocolate World store can be found in the New York New York Resort, and it is filled with thirteen thousand square feet of chocolate!  There are more than eight hundred different chocolatey options, and we can guarantee that you will not be able to leave without purchasing a few.  Don’t forget to stop and take a family photo in front of the Statue of Liberty that is made from almost eight hundred pounds of chocolate! And we hope this inspires you to visit New York City to see the real deal.

12. Roller Coaster at New York New York

Roller Coaster at New York New York

While at New York New York, feel free to stand in line for The Big Apple Coaster.  However, you need to be prepared for the one hundred eighty-degree twist and dive maneuver that could possibly make your heart skip a beat or two!  This is definitely not a ride for the faint at heart, but it does provide entertainment to those who are watching!

13. Cirque du Soleil

Cirque du Soleil - Las Vegas with Kids

There are so many extraordinary shows in this city, and you need to know that plenty of them are kid-friendly.  While we can list dozens of them, we have found that a few of the Cirque du Soleil shows are the most captivating for children.  The performers can be found on the stage and in the air as they perform acrobatic moves that will keep everyone in your family on the edge of their seats.  No one will interrupt you to use the bathroom, tell you that they are hungry, or tell you they are bored for the entire show!  We love Mystère the most, but O is pretty spectacular as well.

14. Jeff Civillico Show

Jeff Civillico Show - Las Vegas with Kids

One of the best entertainers in Las Vegas is Jeff Civillico, and he will keep you and your kids laughing hysterically throughout the entire show.  His unicycle stunt is so funny that you will find yourself laughing so hard that you will be crying!  Don’t believe us??  Check it out here on YouTube.

15. High Roller Observation Wheel

High Roller Observation Wheel - Las Vegas with Kids

Everything always looks better from up in the air. As long as your kids don’t mind heights, they will be happy to climb onto this massive observation wheel.  You will enter one of the twenty-eight cabins that offer three hundred and sixty-degree views of The Strip and the rest of the city.  It takes approximately thirty minutes to do one full rotation, and when you reach the top, you will find yourself five hundred and fifty feet in the air.

16. Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds - Las Vegas with Kids

Madame Tussauds is an interactive museum that will allow your family to get up close and personal with all their favorite actors, actresses, and Marvel heroes.  Someone may be thrilled to have their photo taken standing next to Shaq, while another family member will love being next to Beyoncé or Spiderman.  This is also one of the best inside things to do in Las Vegas with kids, which makes it perfect for those extremely hot days! And if you’re into Madame Tussauds, plan to visit the one in Hong Kong sometime!

17. Fremont Street

Fremont Street - Las Vegas with Kids

If the lights on The Strip at night are not enough, or you want to experience Old Vegas, a trip down to Fremont Street is a necessity.  As soon as the sky darkens, you will see lights everywhere as the Viva Vision Light Show begins along the promenade.  This is a wonderful place to wander around as you do some people watching, but you can also try to conquer the SlotZilla Las Vegas Zip Line when you are there.

18. Tournament of Kings at Excalibur

Tournament of Kings at Excalibur

Everyone needs to eat when they are in Las Vegas, and you might as well turn one of your meals into an evening of entertainment for kids and adults alike.  This dinner and show experience include a story about valiant knights from centuries ago.  Your family will enjoy a three-course meal that you will need to eat with your hands as you watch knights fight with special effects and pyrotechnics in the background.

19. Flamingo’s Wildlife Habitat

Flamingo’s Wildlife Habitat - Las Vegas with Kids

The Flamingo Resort in Las Vegas has quite the history; it is said that the ghost of gangster Bugsy Siegel still roams along the grounds.  Well, we can’t say you will see any ghosts at the Flamingo, but we can say that you can see beautiful flamingos and koi out back in the wildlife habitat.  This is a great area to sit and take a break after a long morning or afternoon of walking up and down The Strip.

20. Coca Cola Store

Coca Cola Store - Las Vegas with Kids

A trip to the Coca Cola Store in Las Vegas is a must, even if you and your kids have a different favorite soda.  This store is full of one-of-a-kind merchandise, but the true draw is the Coca Cola Beverage Bar on the second floor.  While there, we recommend ordering the Tastes of the World Tray.  That tray is filled with sixteen samples of different international beverages.  Don’t forget to snap a picture of the kids with the Coca Cola polar bear before you leave!
